In the case of water power, the open water wheel was displaced by the closed turbine. Likewise, wind power cannot be utilised economically in open systems. In the case of wind, moreover, the work output is irregular depending on the wind strength. An electrical generator driven by a closed wind turbine from the smallest to the greatest energy output must therefore also be variable. All known automatic control units do not meet this requirement. The invention fulfils these conditions: 1. Two cylinders placed one inside another and rotated in opposite directions each carry one component: pole and armature. The tubes are longitudinally divided into rings, which carry both components. The next ring at any given time is switched in by automatic control. 2. For the greatest wind strengths, armatures of increasing power are additionally loosely seated on an axis. These are switched in in succession by automatic couplings. The patent claims also contain the two abovementioned systems. |
