METHOD OF BONDING CROSSLINKED POLYOLEFIN MOLDED ITEM

PURPOSE:To tightly bond crosslinked polyolefin molded items that will be suitable to be used for a pipe or the like such as a hot water supplying pipe, by carbonylating previously the surfaces of the crosslinked polyolefin molded items to be bonded. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of the crosslinked polyolefin molded items to be bonded are previously carbonylated for example by immersing them in a solution containing an oxidizing agent (e.g. chromic acid mixture, etc.), and then are bonded under pressure with an adhesive such as an epoxy resin, etc. therebetween.
