The invention relates to a heel-holder of a ski binding, having a sole-holder which can be swivelled about a horizontal transverse axle from a skiing position into a release or entry position and vice versa and to which at least one control cam is assigned which interacts with a slide which is loaded by a catch spring and is guided in the longitudinal direction of the ski. The invention is based on the technical problem of improving a heel-holder of the type mentioned at the beginning in that it is ready for entry with the ski boot after any type of release and a simple construction is maintained. This problem is solved in that the control cam is mounted on a control lever so as to be movable from a retaining position, in which the slide resting on the control cam counteracts the swivelling of the sole-holder into a release position, in which the slide resting on the control cam releases the swivelling of the sole-holder, that a locking member for the control lever and a control mechanism are provided, which control mechanism is assigned to said control lever and can be actuated by the ski boot in such a way that, when the ski boot is inserted in the heel-holder, the locking member holds the control lever in the retaining position and, when the ski boot has been removed from the heel-holder, releases the control lever for movement into the release position, and that a spring is assigned to the heel-holder, which spring forces it into the release or entry position.

|
