PURPOSE:To stably wrap a thick strip especially, by guiding a strip of which tip is previously bent with a bending roll. CONSTITUTION:A thick hot rolled strip A is faced downward by pinch rolls 21 and 22, passed through between bending rolls 24 to be bent into an arc so as to easily coil around a mandrel 23, and then, the strip A is advanced into between the mandrel 23 and the 2nd wrapper roll 28. In this case, because the strip A of which tip is previously being bent is advanced into the mandrel 23, respective wrapper rolls 28, 29, and 30 and wrapper guides 31, 32, and 33 are enough to perform only a role of coiling the strip A around the mandrel 23, preventing from being imposed a large load on them. Next, as a winding diameter of the mandrel 23 becomes gradually large as the wind of the strip A proceeds, the mandrel 23 is made gradually descend, because the strip A may interfere with a roll 24 to make a trouble in winding, thus the winding is smoothly performed. |
