Lightweight-construction wind-screening jacket for screening equipment, in particular large solar reflectors, from wind forces and for avoiding dust contamination and other negative environmental influences. For the purpose of installation using only manual means, the screening jacket is, according to the invention, separated into a multiplicity of movable, interconnected sheet-like parts which, in turn, can be folded in a planar manner outwards onto the ground in sector form. The individual sheet-like parts comprise stable frames which are reinforced via diagonal cables and are provided with means in order to brace corresponding screening jackets in a flutter-free manner. According to the invention, after installation of the screening jacket on the ground, said individual sectors are moved into their end position by means of traction cables, via an auxiliary tower. The same traction cables serve to stabilise the lightweight-construction wind-screening jacket mechanically after the frame has been erected. In the event where no foundations are present, the wind-screening jacket may, according to the invention, be provided along its periphery, on the ground, with a channel which is filled with heavy material (sand, stones, etc.).
