The invention relates to a conveyor for underground mining operations, in particular for use in semi-steep and steep formation, with pan sections which are preferably designed as wide-base pans which are supported on the floor by means of wide-base strips (17). In order to be able to alternatively guide a plough or a shearer on the conveyor, it is equipped with a plough guide and with a rack bar for the travelling mechanism of a shearer. The rack bar (27) is arranged on a sectional strip (26), designed as an angle section or the like, of the plough guide (25), in which arrangement it overlaps the upper chain passage (32) of the plough guide. <IMAGE>
