PURPOSE:To permit analysis of anions continuously with high accuracy without requiring regeneration of a specific cation removing decice for exchanging of cations in separating liquid with H<+> by providing said removing device behind the separating column packed with anion exhange resins. CONSTITUTION:A diffusion type cation removing device 7 which is bisected to an eluate chamber 75 and a scavenger liquid chamber 76 by a wall 71 of a cation exchange membrane or the like is provided behind the separating column 4 packed with anion exchagnge resins. While the cations such as Na in the separating liquid from the column 4 passes through the chamber 75, the cations are removed through an aq. soln. 8 such as dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid or the like flowing in the direction opposite from the separating liquid in the chamber 76 and the wall 7, and the concn. of the anions is detected with a conductivity meter 6. Since there is no need for regenerating the cation removing device, continuous measurement is possible, the stable base line is obtained with good detection sensitivity and distinct peaks are obtained. |
