PURPOSE:To transfer an image without bringing a recording head into contact with a body to be recorded thereon or the like and prevent picture quality from being lowered due to abrasion of the head or staining of the head, by a method wherein a layer having a magnetic material dispersed therein is provided on a surface of a film form substrate, and heat is generated by applying an AC magnetic field to the magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:The layer having a magnetic material 3 dispersed therein is provided on the surface of the film form substrate 4, and a layer of a hot-melting ink (preferably containing a wax form substance having a melting point of 40-300 deg.C) 2 is coated on the surface of the layer of the magnetic material 3 to constitute a transfer medium 1. The medium 1 is placed on the body 5 to be recorded thereon, with the ink 2 side brought into contact with the body 5. Then, an AC magnetic field H is applied from the recording head 6 made of a magnetic material to the magnetic material 3 provided on the lower side of the ink 2, whereby the magnetic material 3 is caused to generate heat, so that the hot-melting substance is melted and is caused to adhere to and permeate into the body 5, resulting in transfer recording. EFFECT:Colors of the transferred image can be prevented from being disturbed, and in the case of a ribbon regeneration system, the durability of the ribbon can be enhanced. |
