Such a device has a clock matching element in the receiving section behind each demultiplexer output. This clock matching element contains a buffer store (2) in the transmission path of the useful signal, and a phase discriminator (3) is located between its read-in clock input and its read-out clock input and controls an oscillator (5), which can track, for producing the read-out clock. According to the invention, a monitoring device (6) is connected downstream of the buffer store (2) in order to ensure occurrence at the correct time or displacement by + one bit of the frame tag word of the subsystem. In the case of both such displacements, the monitoring device (6) emits a correction signal to the buffer store (2), which correction signal causes the buffer store (2) to carry out clock matching. A bit slippage caused by brush noise (disturbances, interference) or brief interruptions is in this way eliminated as early as the next frame and has no influence on subsequent demultiplexing. <IMAGE>
