Process and apparatus for mixing biomass

In the process, biomass (10) stored in a heatable biogas reactor (1) in an oxygen-free atmosphere is mixed by blowing in biogas (11) intermittently. The biogas pressure (11) which is required for this purpose is generated by bacterial strains in a biogas reactor (1), which is sealed towards the outside and is connected to a biogas pressure vessel (4), is built up in the biogas pressure vessel (4) and is subsequently blown from the latter into the biomass (10).
