The bucket for an excavator is carried by lifting arms (6) supporting a lifting fork (9,21) pivoted byby a hydraulic actuator (13). The arms can be pivoted in planes perpendicular to the width of the bucket (1). The bucket, or sections (30) of it, can be folded by a hydraulic actuator (13,19) to and from the fork between a first and second position. The bucket can have a rear section (25) located at the fork (21) and a front portion (30) forming the bottom of the bucket and end walls connected to the bottom. |
