PURPOSE:To obtain a printer which can notify users a voltage drop without providing an appropriate displayed warning means by equipping a means to detect a battery power supply voltage drop, detecting the voltage drop and returning a carriage before abnormal operation of the device occurs. CONSTITUTION:An information for functional operation is input into an operation control circuit 2 from a key board 1 through a line (l1), while various informations from a printing section 4 are converted into a converting circuit 3 and input into the circuit 2 through a line (l2). The printing section 4 prints by a power supply battery 6 according to a driving signal outputted from the circuit 2 through a line (l3) and amplified in a driving circuit 5. On the other hand, a voltage comparison circuit 7 is equipped in the battery 6, and when the voltage of the battery 6 becomes lower than the specified voltage generated by a Zener diode 9 to be connected to a power source 8 which is stabilized by a DC-DC converter, a voltage lowering signal is transmitted to the circuit 2 through a line (l4) so as to make a carriage of the printing section 4 perform returning action, and to notify the users the lowering of the power supply voltage. |
