<p>PURPOSE:To prepare chemical adsorbing paper excellent in the adsorbing capacity of a tannin chelate compound, by a method wherein paper is immersed in an aqueous tannin solution to bond tannin to the fiber of paper and the resulting tannin impregnated paper is immersed in an aqueous solution containing a substance carrying out chelate reaction to form the chelate compound in the fiber of paper. CONSTITUTION:Paper based on a natural fiber or consisting of the natural fiber and a synthetic fiber is immersed in a hydrolyzable tannin aqueous solution to bond tannin to the fiber of said paper. In the next step, the tannin treated paper is immersed in a solution containing a water soluble salt of a metal belonged to theI-VIII group of the Period Table such as Fe or Al and water soluble protein such as casein or albumin to carry out chelate reaction with tannin to form a chelate compound. By this method, adsorbing paper excellent in the chemical adsorbing capacity of the tannin chelate compound.</p> |
