<p>A supply trough (6) on a metallic fitting (32) is mounted on a mounting base (30), the supply trough being vibrated by a pneumatic vibrator (35) to effect vibratory transport of articles placed on the trough. The vibrator (35) is mounted directly on the metallic fitting (32), which is mounted in turn on the mounting base (30) through the intermediary of rubber dampers (33). Such an arrangement can permit the supply trough, when soiled through repeated use, to be washed with water without being demounted. The rubber dampers can be designed to ensure that most of the vibratory force produced by the pneumatic vibrator is used as a force for transporting articles along the supply trough.</p> |
