<p>A pillow possesses a pillowcase in which are located at least one softer pillow part and a roll-shaped neck support which is somewhat harder by comparison with the latter. A characteristic feature is that the pillowcase has two separate compartments of different sizes, a roll-shaped neck support being located in the smaller compartment and a pillow part and a head support in the larger compartment. The result is the creation of a pillow which has three different regions, specifically a softer pillow part and relatively harder, substantially roll-shaped head and neck supports. The result achieved is that the entire cushion, in the position of use, has a soft, yielding base in the central region, that is to say in the pillow part, while in the region of the neck and in the upper end of the head a harder neck and head support, respectively, support the head and neck regions respectively in such a manner that the spine of the recumbent person is not undesirably angled or twisted.</p> |
