<p>Method for the preparation of soles and, in particular, of first soles for sandles which consists in cutting out the sole (6) in a suitable material using a cutting-out tool (10) having the shape of the outer contour of the sole on a high-precision press, characterised in that, simultaneously, work is performed on the surface of the sole using presser members (12 - 16 - 19) integral with the tool which shape the material used. Tool for implementing the above method consisting of a blade (10) having the shape of the outer contour of the sole to be produced, characterised in that it is provided, inside the blade, with presser members (12 - 16 - 19) whose active face, on the cutting side of the tool, is located at a distance from the cutting edge which is smaller than the depth of penetration of the latter.
