PURPOSE:To obtain a terminal constant setting circuit with less number of components, by writing a terminal constant in a storage device using non-volatile storage elements such as ROMs via a switching circuit at installation and reading out the constant via the switching circuit in operation. CONSTITUTION:In connecting an external adaptor 22 to a facsimile device 10 at installation of a facsimile device, an adaptor connection signal AC is outputted and a switching circuit 17 receives this signal AC to connect data buses 20, 23 and address buses 21, 24. In this state, a terminal constant such as ID code is outputted from the external adaptor 22 through the use of the data bus 20 and the address bus 21 and the terminal constant such as ID code is written in a storage device 16 with a write signal WS. After the end of write, in eliminating the external adaptor 22, the switching circuit 17 is connected to a data bus 18 and an address bus 19 to read out the terminal constant from a storage device 16 in response to the instruction from a control circuit 11. |
