The vapour compression refrigeration system has a compressor, a condenser, a low flash economizer, a high temp. flash economizer & a chiller. A 2nd comp. (17) & economizer condenser (22) are connected to partially form a secondary refrigerant loop. Gaseous refrigerant from the high temp. flash economizer(31) is condenser by the economizer condenser and then flashed in the low temp. flash economizer (29). The gaseous refrigerant from the low temp. flash economizer is recompressed by the 2nd comp. & thereafter recondensed by the economizer condenser. The recondensed refrigerant is then circulated to the low temp. flash economizer with the remaining liq. refrigerant from the condenser.
