PURPOSE:To facilitate assembling a panel to improve the productivity and to enhance the reliability of connections, by forming preliminarily a spacer part on one glass substrate by printing and printing conductive members to form preliminarily plural short-circuit parts in pertinent positions on the outside line of formation of the printed spacer on the other glass substrate and press-fixing these glass substrates thermally to assemble the panel. CONSTITUTION:Short-circuit parts 11 for connection of transparent electrode driving terminals (or panel electrodes) are formed in positions relative to a spacer forming part 4 as shown in a figure on an upper glass substrate 1 by screen printing. It is desirable that short-circuit parts 11 are formed with a coating thickness of 5-40mum slightly longer than the length between electrodes of a liquid crystal panel which is 5-15mum. The spacer part used as a liquid crystal material seal also is provided in the relative positional relation to short-circuit parts 11 on an upper glass substrate 2 by screen printing. The glass substrate where the spacer part 4 is preliminarily formed and the glass substrate where said short-circuit parts 11 are formed preliminarily are matched to each other and are superposed. Substrates are joined with proper temperature and pressure. |
