PURPOSE:To minimize the size of a magnetic head, by forming a notched part to the side face of a shielding case of the magnetic head at the chassis side and drawing out an external terminal through the notched part. CONSTITUTION:A notched part 2b is formed at the rear edge of a side face 2a of a shielding case 2 at the chassis side. Then an external terminal 4 is drawn out through the part 2b and toward the chassis, and the base edge part of the terminal 4 is molded with a resin 10. Thus the terminal 4 never protrudes to the back of a magnetic head 1. This can decrease the whole length of the head 1. As a result, the size of the head 1 is minimized. |
