<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a magnetic tape in case the power supply is interrupted while the reproduction is carried out at a high speed by a capstan motor, by driving a reel motor with the electric power of a capacitor after the interruption of power supply and then stopping the reel motor simultaneously with the capstan motor. CONSTITUTION:The DC obtained by rectifying the AC supplied from a power supply terminal 1 through a diode 2 is supplied to a motor driving circuit 3. Thus a reel motor 7 is turned in a designated mode 6a or 6b. At the time, the DC supplied from the diode 2 is applied to amode holding circuit 4, and a capacitor 5 is also charged. When the power supply is interrupted in a high-speed reproduction mode or a rewind mode, the mode of the circuit 4 of that moment is held by the signal of a power supply interruption detecting circuit 8. The held mode is then supplied to the circuit 3. The motor 7 is turned by discharging the electric power of the capacitor 5 via the circuit 3 and in the held mode and then stopped almost simultaneously with a capstan motor. This can prevent the damage of a magnetic tape.</p> |
