<p>PURPOSE:To smoothen the movement of the cylinder by integrally forming cylinders corresponding to the number of cylinder guides at the opposite side of the pad pressing portion, in the titled pad pressing cylindrical body in which the cylinder is not directly formed in the caliper body. CONSTITUTION:The fluid pressure is transmitted to a hydraulic chamber 34a through a hose 27, and fluid passages 24 and 18, and further to a hydraulic chamber 34b through a fluid passage 35. The pad pressing cylindrical body 29 advances by the fluid pressure of both hydraulic chambers 34a and 34b, and presses a first pad 45 against the disc 3 by a continuous pad pressing portion 30 of a large area through a back plate 47. By this reaction force, a caliper body 1 moves reversely, a second pad 46 is pressed against the disc 3 by a second arm 5, and clamps and slidably contacts the disc 3 in cooperation with the pad 45 and brakes the disc 3. By the release of the fluid pressure, the press cylinder 29 is restored to its original position by a seal 33, and the brake is released. By this construction, the movements of the cylinder guides and cylinder can be smoothened.</p> |
