VARIABLE CAPACITY FLY-WHEEL DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable rapid response of the capacity varying operation by making a main fly-wheel connected to the rotating shaft of an engine and an auxiliary fly-wheel rotatably provided selectively engageably by an electromagnetic clutch. CONSTITUTION:The main fly-wheel 5 is fitted in the free end part 1a of a crank shaft 1 and clamped by means of a bolt 6, and the auxiliary fly-wheel 14 is rotatably supported by a bearing 15. A clutch plate 7 is provided slidably on the side surface of the main fly-wheel 5, and a clutch pressing plate 8 is slidably provided to face a flange 5a by holding the clutch plate 7 therebetween where a core member 9 is wound with an exciting coil 12 and fixed to a crank case 2.
