PURPOSE:To reduce a loss owing to the contact of a turbine blade wheel with a refrigerant, by disposing a refrigerant sump on the lower end portion of a casing so that the lower end of a turbine blade wheel is not immersed therein, and by forming a refrigerant discharge port to feed out the refrigerant to the following device through said sump. CONSTITUTION:In a refrigeration cycle, after a refrigerant compressed by a compressor 1 is led to a turbine 6 through a condenser 3 and a capillary tube 5 and forced to carry out a work therein, the refrigerant is returned to said compressor 3 through an evaporator 8, thus obtaining a required cooling operation. In the above cycle, a casing 11 of said turbine 6 is formed in a disc and provided with a circular space 12 inside. A turbine blade wheel 15 is disposed at the position opposite to an injection nozzle connected to said tube 5 so that the axis of rotation 14 thereof is sited in the position above the axis 13 of said casing 11. Moreover, a refrigerant sump 15 is disposed at lower position where the refrigerant does not make contact with said turbine blade wheel and a discharge port 20 is formed on the lower end of said sump 17. |
