PURPOSE:To smooth evenly the surface of a magnetic disk mediu, by floating and shifting a working head over the entire part of a magnetic disk to an even floating gap. CONSTITUTION:The slider of a working head 2 attached to the tip of a head arm 3 is set with nearly a parallel angle of inclination to the peripheral speed direction of a magnetic disk medium 1 at the inner circumference part of the medium 1 and rotated along with the arm 3 by a rotary actuator 4 at the outer circumference part. Thus the angle of inclination of the slider is increased to the peripheral speed direction of the medium 1. |
