PURPOSE:To obtain the heat mode light recording medium, wherein recorded information can be erased and rewritten, and which comprises a specified thermoplastic resin and a light absorbing dye. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate comprising glass, plastics, and the like, a recording layer is formed by the light absorbing dye or the pigment and the resin such as a polyolefin coplymer, a polyolefin halogenide, a vinyl chloride copolymer, a vinylidene chloride copolymer, a polyolefin whose carbon atom number is 4-6, a styrene copolymer, a styrol type copolymer, a cumarone-indene resin, a terpene resin or picolide, a polyacrylnitrile, an acrylnitrile polymer, a polyacrylamide or diacetone acrylamide polymer, a polyvinyl acetate, a polyvinyl ether, a polycarbonate, and the like. A minute recording bit is formed in said layer by the irradiation of laser. |
