PURPOSE:To improve high record reproducing sensitivity in a semiconductor laser, by using a fluorine substituted phothalocyanine compound having absorption in a wavelength region longer than 700 nm as the information recording layer. CONSTITUTION:The fluorine substituted phthalocyanine compound does not include a metal on a substrate such as plastics or includes a metal, or a metal oxide, or a metal halogenide thereon, and has the absorption in the wavelength which is longer than 700nm. The information recording layer comprising said compound is provided. the suitable compound is shown by the formula (M is hydrogen, metal oxide, metal, and metal halogenide; X is fluorine; and n is 1-16, desirably 16), and e.g. dichloro(hexadecafluorophthalocyanine) copper is available. The information medium layer including said compound can be formed by a vacuum evaporating method or a spinner method.
