PURPOSE:To produce a tire tube free from puncture, by a method wherein cut surfaces of an intermediate member of a tube for a tire which consists of an unvulcanized rubber material are jointed to each other while being inclined at a specified angle. CONSTITUTION:The intermediate member 10 is so moved that fold lines 12, 14 thereof are located at a central position of upper-mold and lower-mold holders 20, 22, and both end parts are cut at an angle of inclination of theta(60-85 deg.) and are jointed to each other at that angle. Since the end parts are jointed to each other by inclining at the angle of theta, stresses tending to separate the joint surfaces are dispersed. Accordingly, the number of open slices in the production process of the tube for a tire is reduced, and puncture accidents of the tire tube is prevented from occurring. |
