PURPOSE:To control the life and correction amount of a tool for tool management with high accuracy working and reliability by providing a computing unit for comparing accumulated wear amount of the tool with tolerable wear amount to generated the informational output of the former reaching the latter. CONSTITUTION:A memory unit 2 stores the input of tool selection command through an input section 1 so that a controlling unit 3 controls the input, calculation, memory and output. A calculating unit 4 selects tools usable corresponding to the tool command and correction amount to generate the output of calculated result through the output section 5. As a result, a selected tool magazine is used for a machine tool 6. In this case, load amount applied to the tool in working is supplied from a detecting section 8 to the input of a second calculating unit 7 in which the tool wear amount is calculated and the accumulated wear amount is added to the correction amount when it exceeds the commanded unit so that the operation of this apparatus is carried out without any errors carsed by the tool wear. |
