PURPOSE:To improve processing efficiency by converting a looped train of machine word instructions into a microprogram, and executing this microprogram through an instruction processor. CONSTITUTION:In a main storage MS, a looped train of machine words is stored. Further, a microinstruction for causing a branch according to the contents of an internal register INTR and a microinstruction for starting the operation of a translating mechanism TR are added to the beginning of a microprogram which corresponds to said machine word instructions. The translating mechanism TR converts the train of machine word instructions into the microprogram by using a translation table TRTBL. Then, when a microcode sequence for the execution of the machine word instructions is read out, the execution is started. |
