PURPOSE:To promptly stop a back fire, by providing a back fire stopping device, consisting of a thermo-sensitive and rapid actuating member of fast acting type which can be deformed when the temperature in a mixing chamber is raised extraordinarily high, and an emergency stopper which closes a gas injection port when the deformable member is deformed, to a mixing chamber in a gas burner. CONSTITUTION:Fuel gas is injected to burner ports (not shown) of a burner 4 and burnt, after it is fed into a mixing chamber 2 from a gas pipe 1, passing through a gas injection port 1a, and is mixed with the air, fed from suction ports 3, in a gas cooking stove for domestic use. In this case, a back fire stopping device 7 is provided to the mixing chamber 2. The back fire stopping device 7 is is composed of a thermo-sensitive and deformable member 8 of fast acting type, which is made of a metal being deformable when the temperature in the mixing chamber 2 is raised extraordinarily high, preferably a shape memorizing alloy, and an emergency stopper 9 which can be moved from a gas injection port opening attitude A to a gas injection port closing attitude B by a spring 14, only when the member 8 is deformed. A material which can be plastic deformed to form a curved part 8a in the tip of a member 8, in the phase of low temperature, is to be used for the above mentioned deformable member 8. |
