PURPOSE:To enable to accurately control the temperature of a burner as well as to increase the turn-down of a burner, by providing a plurality of burner ports to a burner, by respectively connecting an air feed tube and a fuel feed tube to each burner port, and by controlling an open/close valve in each feed tube, according to the circumstances. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of, five for instance, flame ports h1-h5 are formed in a burner 2, fitted to a combustion furnace 1, and fuel feed tubes F1-F5 and air feed tubes A1-A5 are respectively connected to each flame port h1-h5. Each fuel feed tube F1-F5 is connected to a source of fuel feed A through a common line 3, as well as being equipped with fuel control valves FC1-FC5, respectively. In the same manner, each air feed tube A1-A5 is connected to a forced draft fan 6 as a source air feed, through a common line 5, while being equipped with air control valves AC1-AC5, respectively. The temperature in the furnace is properly controlled by controlling the above-mentioned valves FC and AC by the intermediarly of a controller 7, based on the output from a temperature detector 8. |
