1275321 Tool holder assemblies MASCHINENFABRIK HEID AG 24 April 1970 [23 June 1969] 19939/70 Heading B3T A tool holding assembly comprises a body portion 4 securable to a support on a machine tool, and having a horizontal recess, a tool carrier 3 adjustably locatable in the recess, the carrier being of L-shaped configuration and having a horizontal groove 10, 11 extending along two of its side walls and in which can be secured a shank of a cutting tool 1, the tool carrier being secured to the body portion by three hinge links 5, 6 and 7. Each link is constituted by cylindrical members 16 in the tool carrier and body respectively and which are connected by a bolt 13, two of the links being adjustable and located at right angles to each other and the third link being non-adjustable and spaced from the other two. Adjustment of either of the two links displaces the tool carrier pivotally about the third link and hence adjusts the position of the cutting tool 1 in a horizontal plane. Springs 8 are located between the carrier and the body to maintain tension on the links during adjustment. |
