<p>The device includes a magneto-inductance situated in an inclined magnetic field provided, for example, by a permanent magnet. The magneto-inductance is solidly attached to the stylus and the magnet or electromagnet providing the inclined field is adjustable relative to the inductance position. By adjustment of the magnet position, the strength of the magnetic field may be adjusted in order to control the central frequency of operation. In this way the stylus may respond to the information recorded on the disc. In partic. this may be centered on 10.7 MHz in order to be able to use the signal directly at the IF input of an FM tuner. A demodulating discriminator is directly used at the level of the output frequency to deliver a variable amplitude signal directly to the pick-up head.</p> |
