<p>The appts. is placed in the fuel line between the fuel tank and a constant level gas extraction vessel. A filter and electrical or mechanical booster pump are placed upstream of the volume meter in a piece of tubing leading from the tank. This pump keeps the volume meter fully charged and operational. A totaliser records the fuel consumption and relays it to a panel on the dashboard. The constant level gas extraction vessel comprises, in combination with the fuel line, a pointer and float arrangement, a gas vent leading to the fuel tank, a tube feeding the motor, and a return tube.</p> |
