The invention relates to a loudspeaker circuit for improving the reproduction of sound in the frequency range below 200 Hz. The object is achieved by using a loudspeaker circuit with acoustic feedback, the feedback signal being obtained by means of a microphone from the sound field in front of the loudspeaker. It is essential to the invention that the frequency response, measured in the free sound field, of the control loop which has been opened for the measurement is set in such a manner that it rises by at least 3 dB towards the low frequencies at least in the frequency range below 300 Hz within a spacing of one octave. This measure allows a sufficiently high gain to be selected for the control loop in order to effectively correct the interfering variables such as frequency response and noise of the loudspeaker and the reaction of the listening room on the sound field.
