Safety circuit in an antilock brake system

A safety circuit in an antilock brake system for road vehicles is proposed, in which the speed of two diagonally opposite wheels is sensed and both wheels of an axle are adjusted or jointly controlled by an electronics unit by way of a common control valve. The safety circuit contains a logic circuit (1 to 3, 4 to 6), by means of which, in the event of a defect in the electronics unit (26, 27) resulting in a constantly energised inlet valve, the inlet valve (EV) of the defective axle can be jointly controlled by the control signals for the inlet valve of the other axle. <IMAGE>
