PURPOSE:To avoid the destruction of data of a medium due to the break of a power supply, by carrying out the rewinding in case no indication is given for the occupation of a sequential access file within a prescribed period after an indication is given for the release of the occupation of the access file. CONSTITUTION:An accepting part 21 accepts a request to a file from a requester, and a request chaining part 22 chains the request for each user. An execution control part 24 starts a request reporting part 25, an occupation request detecting part 26 and an occupation request release detecting part 27. The part 26 accepts the presence or absence of a request in a queuing state via a chaining detecting part 23 and then starts a timing part 28 if no request exists. The part 28 informs a timing-out state to the part 27, and the part 27 requests the rewinding to the part 24. The part 26 starts the part 28, and the part 28 discontinues the timing if it is in the timing mode. |
