PURPOSE:To realize a image recorder with high accuracy, by performing control of each process, through the use of a drive signal for drive motor of a recording medium or a signal synchronized to the drive signal, in an electrostatic or electrophotographic type image recorder. CONSTITUTION:When a recording cycle start signal START is inputted, a sequence control circuit 21 gives a motor drive control signal MDC to a pulse generating circuit 22, a mark provided at the start position of a recording medium is detected by the detecting signal from a sensor S1, ''1'' is applied to a counter to set a flag, a fixed number is counted to surely detect the start position. Next, a solenoid mechanism and an electromagnetic clutch are driven to start paper feed, and when a motor drive signal MDS is inputted and the next recording paper comes this side of the transfer position, the recording paper is stopped with a signal of a sensor 2. When the tip of a recording medium reaches a recording head, a recording control signal PCS is given to a data control and high voltage driver circuit 28 and a gate circuit 29, and the reading of information DATA and the recording with a head 7 can be performed. |
