<p>The hinge is for the pivot of a spectacle leg, flexibly mounted on the frame (3). It has a long sliding cylindrical rod (7) in and protruding from a housing (8) in the leg end (2). A hole (9) is made co-axially in the sliding rod to a certain depth from the protruding end. There is also a slot along the sliding rod of length less than the hole depth (9) and opening into it. A block (11) is placed across the housing opening, forming a rod guide. A spring (13) is mounted in the hole, pressing on the back and hole base.</p> |
