It has emerged that in the invention terpenes in synergistically acting combinations with alpha -keto mono- and/or alpha -keto dicarboxylic acids and/or mono- or mono- and/or diesters or in the basic active substances, in the terpene alpha -keto acid esters (preferably 1-bornyl pyruvate), the alpha -keto carboxylic acid residue can be replaced by the alpha -ketal carboxylic acid residue, the saturated carboxylic acid residue, the alpha -hydroxy carboxylic acid residue, the alpha -alkoxy carboxylic acid residue and the alpha -acyloxy carboxylic acid residue.
