Sheets (13) in a document binder are retained by straps (27) having ridged ends (30). The ends of the straps (27) are held releasably by triggers (31) engaging the ridge portions (30). A rigid channel 15, 16 is associated with each side 11, 12 of the binder and the straps (27) 27 are anchored in one side and extend through the sheets (13).
