<p>A machine tool attachment (10) which provides for material handling, positioning, and clamping during machining and also eliminates the need for custom tool fixtures. The machine tool attachement (10) mechanically advances material to be machined (18) through a tubular tail stock (14) and into a head stock (26). Collets (20, 30) located in the tail stock (14) and head stock (26) automatically power clamp the material (18) and a rotary indexer (34) automatically rotates and indexes the material (18) during the machining operation. Once machining is completed, the material (18) between the head stock (26) and tail stock (20) is further clamped by the attachment and then cut by the machine tool (11). Remaining material can then be advanced by the attachment and the process repeated.
