The invention relates to a drift conveyor for underground mining enterprises. In its basic structure, the drift conveyer consists of a conveyor frame, traction means and a supporting means. The supporting means is designed as a conveyor belt and fixed to two traction means which for their part are guided via drives. The traction means are connected to the lengthwise edges of the supporting means. They are guided in or on guide rails of the conveyor frame arranged along the conveying path. The guide rails are guided, in areas equipped for the reception of conveyed material and if appropriate in straight sections of the conveying path, at a distance apart so that the supporting means suspended on the traction means forms an open conveyor trough. In curved sections of the conveying path, however, the guide rails are guided adjacently or virtually adjacently to each other so that the supporting means suspended on the traction means forms a closed or virtually closed conveyor pipe. In this manner, differences in travel for the traction means and hence for the lengthwise edges of the supporting means in curved sections of the conveying path are virtually avoided. Consequently, the drift conveyor can negotiate curves without problems, even in the case of curves with a small radius of curvature, the more so since the guide rails can also be arranged to lie one above the other in such curved sections. <IMAGE> |
