PURPOSE:To prevent the mixing of components in the blood clot phase with those in the serum phase after the separation by pressurizing and sealing a separation agent simultaneously employing a sealing putty having a separation layer on a putty layer. CONSTITUTION:A sealing putty has a putty layer 2 with a depth of about 3mm. provided on the bottom of a vessel 1 and a separation agent layer 3 which a depth of about 3mm. provided thereon. The putty layer 2 is made up of a plastic putty while the separation agent layer 3 of a separation agent with a specific gravity of 1,030-1,060 (25 deg.C) and a viscosity of 100-800,000 CP (25 deg.C) in terms of the centrifugal separation. After blood is introduced into a blood separation tubule 4, the tubule 4 is stuck into and then, pulled out of the sealing putty and the end thereof is closed with the separation agent 3 and a putty 2. When the tubule 4 undergoes centrifugal separation for about 10min at 2,500-3,000rpm, the blood is separated into the serum phase 7 and the blood clot phase 6 while a layer 3 of the separation agent is formed on the boundary to separate the serum phase 7 from the blood clot phase 6. |
