According to the present method, the markings (2), the characters (3) and/or the other representations (5) are made by printing, impressing, injection moulding or photo-technically rationally and economically initially applied with a high degree of accuracy and reproducibility to a layered body (4) which is then arranged on the actual substantial part (6) of the device, is coated there by the material of this part (6) partially or, if required, on all sides, in particular in a materially interlocking manner.
