<p>A succession of shapes are thermoformed and simultaneously cut from the surrounding flash sheet except for small bridges which retain the formings until the sheet advances to an adjacent device which lifts the formings singly or in groups through a push fit window in a pref. rubber ddiaphragm. Pref. the formings are raised further through a second spring fit window to join a stack of formings growing from below. Pref. the stacking window is one of a pair on a slide which reciprocates for alternating stacking and unloading operations. Pref. the number of formings is automatically counted. Eliminates item orientation problems arising if the articles are ejected freely from the thermoforming machine.</p> |
