PURPOSE:To obtain a tuning fork type crystal oscillator which has stable frequency temperature characteristics and stable aging characteristics of frequency, by setting the thickness of a part or whole of the base part larger than that of the arm part of the crystal oscillator and reducing the leakage of vibration. CONSTITUTION:The thickness of a part of the base part of a tuning fork type crystal oscillator 71 is set larger than the thickness of other parts on both surfaces or single surface of the base part. This thicker part serves equally to a buffer member, and the propagation of displacement is suppressed as less as possible at the base part to a support part. Otherwise the thickness at the base part of a tuning fork type crystal oscillator 91 is changed slowly to the thickness at the arm part. As a result, electrical connection is facilitated between an exciting electrode set at the arm part and the support member. |
