PURPOSE:To readily realize a bulb which needs neither a lamp base nor a tip-off part- protecting cover, by positioning a tip-off pointed end inside the external face of a stem base in the production of the bulb with a button stem base. CONSTITUTION:A tip-off pointed end 2 projects outside further than a base plane 7, in case of carrying out a tip-off process of an exhaust pipe 5 using a button stem 3. Next, the tip-off pointed end 2 which projects outside further than the base plane 7 is heated, softened, pressed by an outside actuater 10, and shaped in order to be received in a recess 9. Said tio-off pointed end is shaped as shown by a mark 2' in the figure, positioned in the pipe inside further than the base external plane 7; since projected part thereof is entirely removed, the posibility of breakdown at the tip-off pointed end can be completely cancelled during a treatment of a fluorescent lamp in which the button stem is sealed. |
