PURPOSE:To prevent a cassette from being loaded when a tape is not allowed to be drawn out of the cassette, by providing a projection member which can substantially change the external size of a case ininterlocking with an operation member for tape drawout. CONSTITUTION:An operation member 21 which draws out a magnetic tape 4 in a cassette 2 to a position corresponding to a mgnetic tape running path of a large sized cassette and accommodates the tape 4 in the cassette 2 with a case 1 loaded with a small sized cassette 2, is provided. Further, projection members 46, 26a which substantially change the external size of the case 1 in interlocking with the member 21, are provided. When the magnetic tape 4 is not drawn out of the cassette 2, the external size of the case 1 is made larger than the size of an opening of a cassette insertion hole of the large-sized magnetic tape device with the projection members 46, 26a, allowing to inhibit the loading of the case 1. |
